Last week I was at the Best of Britannia show, in Clerkenwell's historic Farmiloe Building. On show were all manner of British designed & made luxury goods, including lots of great contemporary jewellery, fashion & home accessories, vintage furniture, eccentric tailoring, cult bicycles, custom built jukeboxes, & delicious lobster rolls served from a converted VW camper van. I was sharing a pitch with the delightful Claire English & Pip Jolley, & we played host to a stream of lovely visitors. One of whom, fashion writer Nina Elegba, tells more on her Jewellery blog Magpie On The Run...

A couple of weeks ago I found myself at the London Tattoo Convention. Housed in Wapping’s Tobacco dock, E1, this was the 9th year of the event, which saw the cream of international tattoo artists convene to display their skills, along with live music from the likes of urban voodoo machine & fun lovin’ criminals, circus & cabaret performers from burlesque to sword swallowing, & (most importantly) shopping! I set up a stall with the fantastic miss Ali Forbes & her bold & beguiling ‘'urban folklore’ collection, & had lots of lovely visitors.

The first shop to carry my new collection, Toledo, is none other than the fabulous, Johnny Rocket, In Greenwich. I will be sharing cabinet space, not only with the head honcho rock n Roll jeweller himself, but with a dazzling array of the cream of contemporary Uk designers, including Claire English, Jessica De Lotz, Pip Jolley & Tatty Devine. Well worth a visit....

Last week Professional Jeweller magazine paid tribute to 'the jewellery industry’s greatest people' with their annual Hot 100 list, & i was honoured to feature in their 'Nexgems' category, a celebration of Britain's freshest jewellery design talent.
The hotlist was revealed at a glittering, invite-only party at One Marylebone in London, in association with the Company of Master Jewellers.
A book with exclusive portrait photography and insightful interviews featuring this year's Hot 100 was given out at the event to guests and will be posted out to subscribers of Professional Jeweller with the October issue of the magazine.
Professional Jeweller editor Kathryn Bishop said: "This year we mark the fourth anniversary of the Professional Jeweller Hot 100 and celebrate the brilliance of each individual who has made this year’s list.
"They are innovators in their field; the ones who don’t just go an extra step but a further 10”
the party was much fun & filled with many of my favourite Jewellers, here's the evidence, from the photobooth sponsored by Clodogh..
with the fabulous EA Burns & Tessa Mecalfe.

I'm very excited to have just been shortlisted by The Professional Jeweller Magazine & Treasure Jewellery Show to win a stand at the show, during London Jewellery Week.
The Shortlist of 10 designers have been selected by an industry panel of judges, but now the competition is to be
decided by public vote over the next few days.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO CLICK ON THIS LINK & VOTE FOR ME!
& do not hesitate to share this message with friends & family that may be interested in helping.
The annual competition last year created a viral frenzy, with the final tally of online votes reaching 60,869, tripling the 21,690 votes cast during the previous year.
The 2013 competition has grown again, with a record 65 entries to the competition, dwarfing previous years' entries.
Professional Jeweller Editor Rachel Taylor said: "Each year this competition gets that bit stronger - the entries are of a higher quantity and quality, which you can tell from this hugely talented shortlist - and we have always had a year-on-year spike in votes and traffic during the competition.
I've just re-launched my Summery Siren Collection at a 10 day Secret Emporium pop up shop in Box Park Shoreditch. Opening last friday night with a packed out party, 3 of the 'boxes' play host to a dazzling array of the UK's most exciting up & coming & designers, including Secret Emporium staples (& some of my long-time favourites) E.A. Burns, Kate Gilliland, Grace Du Prez & Diane Turner and Wolf & Moon alongside fresh talent from the likes of Tessa Metcalf, Ali Forbes & MCs scrunchies.
If you havn't yet dropped by, the Emporium will be open till sun 24th March.
