Last week I was at the Best of Britannia show, in Clerkenwell's historic Farmiloe Building. On show were all manner of British designed & made luxury goods, including lots of great contemporary jewellery, fashion & home accessories, vintage furniture, eccentric tailoring, cult bicycles, custom built jukeboxes, & delicious lobster rolls served from a converted VW camper van. I was sharing a pitch with the delightful Claire English & Pip Jolley, & we played host to a stream of lovely visitors. One of whom, fashion writer Nina Elegba, tells more on her Jewellery blog Magpie On The Run...

LONDON TATTOO CONVENTION
A couple of weeks ago I found myself at the London Tattoo Convention. Housed in Wapping’s Tobacco dock, E1, this was the 9th year of the event, which saw the cream of international tattoo artists convene to display their skills, along with live music from the likes of urban voodoo machine & fun lovin’ criminals, circus & cabaret performers from burlesque to sword swallowing, & (most importantly) shopping! I set up a stall with the fantastic miss Ali Forbes & her bold & beguiling ‘'urban folklore’ collection, & had lots of lovely visitors.

the party was much fun & filled with many of my favourite Jewellers, here's the evidence, from the photobooth sponsored by Clodogh..

PROFESSIONAL JEWELLER & TREASURE SHOW COMPETITION
I'm very excited to have just been shortlisted by The Professional Jeweller Magazine & Treasure Jewellery Show to win a stand at the show, during London Jewellery Week.
The Shortlist of 10 designers have been selected by an industry panel of judges, but now the competition is to be
decided by public vote over the next few days.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO CLICK ON THIS LINK & VOTE FOR ME!
& do not hesitate to share this message with friends & family that may be interested in helping.
The annual competition last year created a viral frenzy, with the final tally of online votes reaching 60,869, tripling the 21,690 votes cast during the previous year.
The 2013 competition has grown again, with a record 65 entries to the competition, dwarfing previous years' entries.
Professional Jeweller Editor Rachel Taylor said: "Each year this competition gets that bit stronger - the entries are of a higher quantity and quality, which you can tell from this hugely talented shortlist - and we have always had a year-on-year spike in votes and traffic during the competition.

LAST CHANCE TO SEE!!! She's My Witch Installation at Dream Bags Jaguar Shoes
To Coincide with a rather special Egyptian flavoured exhibition by artist & model-maker extraordinaire Rosy Nicholas, Dream Bags Jaguar Shoes asked me to fill some of their display cabinets with a selection of Pharoah inspired treasures from my 'She's My Witch' collection.
A fellow ex- Camberwell student, illustrator, prop maker &, recently, bespoke Shoe designer for Fred Butler, Rosy is a multi talented maker, with a penchant for all things Egyptian & Deco. Combining her skills, influences & unique vision, she transformed the space into a 'fantastical tomb of dazzling morbid luxury' for her show
"If I should die tonight".
Installed at the tail end of November, it was the perfect glittering backdrop for the bar's busy party season. It runs till the 27th of Jan. So hurry along to catch it before it's too late!
